KLS Policies
*
School Dating Policy: KLS does not prohibit students’ pursuit of dating relationships outside of KLS during their time in the school. However, in order to ensure the emotional safety and healthy group dynamics of other KLS students, we require that KLS students do not begin dating relationships with other KLS students during the course of the school year (this includes during winter break). For the protection of the emotional safety of KLS students and the integrity of KLS leaders, dating relationships between KLS students and KLS leaders are prohibited. A possible exception to either of these requirements may include a relationship that existed prior to the student's application to KLS. Such circumstances should be discussed with the KLS Director during the application process. Breaking either of these requirements will result in a meeting with KLS Director and possible dismissal of both KLS staff & student from KLS without a refund. Any questions or concerns may be discussed with the KLS Director during the application process.
Personal Appearance and Modesty: Each student is asked to uphold a clean, modest and non-distracting appearance in how he or she dresses for all meetings, classes, services, and gatherings. We desire to bring glory to Jesus with our bodies and clothing. We also ask that when on any ministry platform please wear clean, un-torn clothing and shoes.
Health Insurance: Applicants should provide their own health insurance coverage. Neither Storehouse nor KLS will be responsible to cover hospitalization, visits to the doctor, or medications.
Transportation: We recommend that every intern have access to reliable transportation throughout the school year. All students who do not have a vehicle are still responsible for their own transportation needs and punctuality to meetings and classes.
Personal expenditures: Each student is responsible to cover any personal expenses that he or she may incur throughout the term. Each student is responsible for arranging and paying for housing through the KLS term. No personal/living expenditures are covered in the KLS Tuition Payment.
Attendance (In-person) - Please make every effort to attend all KLS classes and events. We recognize that there are unavoidable circumstances in life, so we ask that you communicate with KLS Director at least 24 hours in advance if you have to miss class. Talk to KLS Director about option of joining online if you are out of town for a KLS class/event. In-person students are required to attend Freedom Party Retreat in person in full. If a student consistently misses classes/events or neglects to communicate when they are going to be late or miss class, the KLS leadership reserves the right to dismiss students from the school at their discretion without refund of tuition.
Attendance (Online): Online students have the option of joining online classes/events live or watching the recording afterward. When joining live, online students have the opportunity to participate in class discussions and breakout activities.
Be on time - Honor the time of your classmates and teachers by making it a point to be early and ready to go for each class.
Unacceptable Behavior - Our heart and goal is to see KLS students receive freedom and healing from sin, emotional wounding, and any demonic oppression. We understand that this most often comes through a combination of significant breakthrough experiences and a process of walking out freedom and healing. However, if a student exhibits a pattern of behavior that is distracting, divisive, disruptive, or dangerous to themselves or other students, the KLS staff reserves the right to remove such a student from the program without refund.
Outside Employment, School, and Family: Most of our KLS students hold part-time/full-time jobs, are enrolled in a part-time/full-time school, or are part-time/full-time family care-givers. We understand this is necessary for most of our students. We encourage students to remain in these during the course of the school. We do require, however, that your work, school, or care-giving schedule does not interfere with the KLS weekly schedule. If you have questions or concerns about this, please contact the KLS Director.
Childcare: Each student in need of childcare is responsible for the arrangement and expense of such. At times, there are enough students needing childcare for there to be an option of on-site childcare at Storehouse during the weekly KLS schedule. If the need is large enough, KLS can help arrange for such. However, any on-site childcare arranged through KLS will still be at the expense of the students.
Tuition Payment: Each student is responsible for the cost of KLS tuition by the stated deadline. If finances pose a potential obstacle to attending the program, please speak with the KLS Director about your options. Many students in the past have successfully secured generous sponsors/donors among their own relationship circles to cover a portion or all of their tuition expenses. The KLS Director can help give you direction in this area. However, any recommended action steps are the responsibility of the student, not the KLS Director. If outside sponsorship is to be sought, contact the KLS Director and begin searching for sponsorship as soon as possible.
Payment Plans: Tuition Payment Plans are an option. Please discuss any questions concerning this with the KLS Director. If finances pose a potential obstacle to attending the program, please speak with the KLS Director about your options. Failure to meet terms of the payment plan may result in a non-refundable termination of the student's participation in the program.
Cancellations/Refunds: In order to receive a refund, a cancellation must be made prior to August 15, 2024. Cancellations made on or after August 15, 2024 will not be refunded. On and after August 15, 2024, any initial and/or subsequent payments made will not be refundable. This policy applies to all payment options.
I UNDERSTAND AND AGREE TO FOLLOW THE ABOVE POLICIES AND EXPECTATIONS
